Jaxson got some fun new toys to play in! At first he was a bit unsure of them, but now that he’s spent a little time exploring, he loves them! Lots of cool new things to play with! Thanks to Auntie Cindy for the saucer, and a special thanks to G-ma for driving it all the way up here! Love you both!
I had some work to do in the yard yesterday, and since Jax refused to nap, I decided to take him with me. Here are some pictures of Jaxson with his big brother/protector.
Jax has had rice cereal for the past week, and has also tried oatmeal, but tonight was the first time he’s had anything with some real flavor! Tonight Jaxson had his first taste of baby food. Carrots were on the menu, and daddy got to be the one to feed him! Both boys did a great job. Jax didn’t make any yucky faces, so I can only assume he liked it since he kept opening his mouth for more. He may have gotten his looks from his daddy, but he absolutely got his love of food from me!! I’m such a proud mommy.
Jax turned six months this past Saturday, I just can’t believe how quickly time has gone by. Dan and I realized that before we know it we’ll be planning his first birthday party! Our little guy is getting so big, and we are so proud of how far he’s come. It seems like just yesterday we had a 4lb preemie!
Today J.R. tried rice cereal for the first time! As expected it got all over the place, and much of it got spit out, but I think he did really well. We all know that this little man looks spot on like daddy, but he definitely has mommy’s love of food!! I even had a few helpers, including Jaxson’s cousin Darren.
Today our good friend Jason and his girlfriend Emily welcome a healthy little baby boy! We are so excited for them, and also for Jax because that means he’ll have a new friend! Congratulations to Jason & Emily, he is so precious, and he even has a great name. Welcome Arthur RANDALL Combs!
Since today was so beautiful, Jax and I took a walk. He had a really good time, except when the sun got in his eyes! Poor guy! Afterwards we had a little bit of playtime with Diesel in the backyard. I’m really trying to get my pre-baby body back, so I think we need to take these walks more regularly (weather permitting).
The other day Jax and I were in the area, so we decided to stop by and say hi to daddy. As an added bonus great grandpa was there too!
